Week 34 – Breads

Quite busy this week so I had to squeeze in time tonight to make the theme dish.  I made an Italian bread bowl with this recipe with some minor changes from the comments.  I added some sugar and went with 6 portions instead of 8, which I think ended up being perfect.

I filled the bread bowl with this French onion soup recipe.  It was delicious!  I know I know, I did forget the cheese but didn’t really want to go out to get it, so I said oh well.

This was my first time making bread from scratch so I was super excited when it was actually working like it rising the first time (no pic, I forgot!).  Then after I divided it up, and it expanded more and kept its round shape.  I was quite pleased!
