Beans beans, the musical fruit…..sorry, still on the music kick.
I have always said that veggie patties, and in this case, a black bean patty, are delicious. Especially when you eat them with a beef burger. They are the perfect burger size and it fits right on top, and bam!, you have all your toppings in a convenient patty form.
In all seriousness, I did make a black bean burger from scratch.
Mashed those beans up good! Then mixed in some cumin, paprika, and oregano seasonings, and finely chopped onions, minced garlic, and some panko breadcrumbs. Cracked in an egg and then pan fried it til crispy and dark like that. Topped with some avocado and cilantro. Added some chipotle mayo to the bread. Vegetarian friendly!
